Ann Willoughby has been a leading national voice in design beginning in the late 1960s. She has taught, written and established credentials designing from a female perspective. Ann founded Willoughby Design in 1978 and the firm works with civic, cultural, and retail clients including the Kauffman Foundation, RideKC, Panera Bread and Spin! Pizza.

Kathy Kelley has a passion for design outreach with a record as a design leader, She strives to connect designers, explore design issues, and bring design to the community-at-large. Initiatives include the AIGA KC awards archive at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Spencer Library in partnership with AIGA KC; Design Futures for Kansas City Design Week; and The Design Journal for STA.

Jessica and Tad Carpenter are an acclaimed husband and wife team: designers, illustrators, authors and founders of Made in the Middle, a successful bi-annual design conference held at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. Carpenters’ studio, Carpenter Collective, overall approach to branding, strategy, and design has gained wonderful clients ranging from Target, Coca-Cola, Macy’s, Rayban, Old Navy, Nick Jr, Conan O'Brien, MTV and Adobe.
