a paradigm shift in archival practices.
We are modeling dh.KC after best practices developed by leading libraries, institutions, and private collectors. For example, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian National Design Museum, Walker Art Center, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Letterform Archive are creating a paradigm shift in archival practices. These leaders are transforming how design history is captured, documented, showcased, shared, and funded. dh.KC will build an online archive and gallery to accept rich media content; support images, descriptions, and stories; and to plug in to existing online collections. Discovery will be enabled through a concurrent search in order to easily document, locate, and share the unique design history rooted in Kansas City.
